Soul work made easy.

Our practice is simple.

We work to release a bit of stress and create a bit of space. Then we sit back and watch the soul qualities rise.

Qualities like being more present, open, brave and kind. Qualities we believe are inherent in everyone, but which sometimes get buried under the stress of life.

At Ziva, we use tried-and-tested yogic techniques to help you release some of that stress - to clear a path for your soul qualities to shine through.

Our classes incorporate breathwork, movement and meditation to help you release different layers of stress. Breathwork for the nervous system, movement for the body and meditation for the mind.

Our goal is always to create a warm, supportive studio experience that remains authentic to the traditions of yoga and accessible at every stage of your yoga journey.

Practising for the first time – or the first time in a long time? We got you.

  • Just yourself, and an open mind! Mats, straps and blocks will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you wish.

We also recommend a bottle of water and towel, especially for active classes.

  • Welcome! If you need help figuring out which class to get started with, learn more about our offerings here – or simply drop us a line and we’ll point you in the right direction. We also recommend coming by 15 minutes before class to familiarise yourself with the space and speak to your teacher about any questions or concerns you might have.

  • Our hot practices are conducted in a heated room, where temperatures can reach as high as 37 degrees Celcius. This might create an extreme environment that is also dependent on myriad factors like heat tolerance, body type – even the food and drink you’ve consumed on the day.

We recommend that beginners start with a non-hot option, even if you’re accustomed to more strenuous and cardio-intensive exercise. Always be kind to your body – and if in doubt, chat with us!

  • Carbo-loading might be a popular strategy for endurance athletes, but we generally recommend a lighter snack like bananas or a granola bar at least an hour before class. (And have a bottle of water within reach!)

  • As long as you’ve been cleared by your doctor to practise yoga, we recommend coming in 15 minutes before class to speak to your teacher so they can recommend modifications that best suit you.

As always, do what feels good for the body. Yoga Reset, Yoga Basics and Yin are great options for students returning to the practice after an extended break.

  • Firstly, congratulations! If you're an experienced practitioner who knows how to modify your practice safely, then no worries! Otherwise, we recommend starting your yoga journey with a prenatal-trained studio and consulting with your primary physician before engaging in physical activity.

  • Please drop us a line and we’ll sort that out for you as soon as we can!

  • We offer a variety of pricing tiers for all types of practitioners! Learn about them here.
